Howdy! I’m Andrew Hetland, owner of Hetland Home Improvement, Montana Army National Guard Veteran, and former volunteer firefighter/EMT.

I’ve been building since my 18th birthday in 2011, earning over 15 years of hands-on experience. After years working on commercial and industrial projects, I realized something important: you don’t get a “thank you” from a water treatment plant. I returned to residential work because I prefer the personal side—seeing a neighbor’s smile when a finished project makes their daily life easier.

Honored to receive a scholarship from the Mike Rowe Works Foundation (yes, the guy from Dirty Jobs!) to study Construction Management, I now hold International Residential and Building Code certifications (IRC/IBC). You get the grit of a “boots on the ground” builder, plus the technical expertise to ensure your project is safe and built right.

Expect straightforward advice and the kind of honest work I’d be proud to have in my own home.
